At low tide there are several hundred yards of sand - perfect for jogging, bike riding, games, kite flying and just about anything else you can think of! You can reserve beach chairs and umbrellas (or take your own); go shelling, bird watching, and more! Plus just about couple of hundred yards up the beach is the always fun DUNES HOUSE GRILL - serving lunch and dinner from the grills on their beachfront deck. Check the Calendar posted on their front porch for nightly specials - Lobster Night anyone?? As well as their Special Entertainment nights!
Our Villa - ON-THE-BEACH - is located just inside the North Gate of the famed PALMETTO DUNES RESORT and offers easy access to hundreds of miles of bike / jogging paths; the unique lagoon system and kayak rentals plus the Resort’s famous golf courses and tennis facility.
The Marriott Hotel with entertainment and restaurants and the elegant Spa Soleil is an easy stroll up the beach.
Next door - at The Dunes House - is a big Community Beach 'walkover' that easily accommodates your bikes, rolling coolers, etc and is equipped with restrooms and outside showers. And 5 minutes away is Palmetto Rentals - with all kinds of bikes and kayaks for rent; the excellent Alexanders restaurant; the Charming General Store as well as the Resorts golf Club & Tennis facilities.
Just across the main road is Shelter Cove – also part of our Resort – where there are shops, restaurants and entertainment – including weekly fireworks.
PLUS the Resort offers 'Free On-Demand' shuttle service with the Dune Buggy - regularly shuttling guests around the Resort!
